Testimonial: Sofia

I called upon Yuri at a crucial moment in my professional and personal life – even though I’m not someone who is disorganized or tends to accumulate a lot of things, I needed to turn a page and create space, both physical and mental. Sure, just send over the French text whenever you're ready, and I'll translate it for you!

1. When I started, I couldn't stop.

Our first session began with my off-season clothes. By applying the KonMari method, I quickly realized that some clothes no longer gave me the same feelings or the same sense of joy as others— I parted with them calmly and fairly quickly, they had fulfilled their purpose. I also realized that I was keeping some clothes, or 'paying the rent for them,' as Yuri puts it, simply because they were branded, but I no longer wore them. They had become a burden, and I didn’t know how to part with them without 'honoring' them. Yuri gave me good ideas for revaluing them and benefiting others. From then on, a positive spiral began : when I opened other spaces, even in Yuri's absence, I would spread everything out on the floor and start the process again. And start again, over and over, until I was satisfied. When I opened my wardrobes, I felt like I was in a store !

2. space at home also allows us to create mental space

Thanks to Yuri's intervention, I was able not only to reorganize and highlight certain items but also to create additional space in an apartment where everything is on display. This sans nul besoin d’être minimaliste !

Anecdote: when we were organizing my files/admin section (I hate admin), we found a receipt from 10 years ago... it was like a shock, especially since I prided myself on being organized! It made me realize that I had made the right choice in digging into this corner. I emptied many files and folders and today I feel calm when dealing with everything related to 'admin'!

I was able to do physical as well as mental decluttering, get rid of what no longer brought me joy, and this allowed me to create space to welcome new things and adventures, or even simply enjoy an empty space without feeling the need to fill it. Being surrounded by what brings us joy, making room for new objects and memories, is a fundamental aspect of our well-being !

3. A long-term investment

Often, when we embark on a decluttering process like the one offered by Atelier Tokimeki, we might tend to think that it’s just a 'phase' and that in a few months, 'everything will go back to how it was before.

I learned after these sessions with Yuri that the reality is completely different: by dedicating a space to each item and keeping the mantra 'sparking joy' in mind we change our way of conceiving our living spaceEach item has found its rightful place in the house, and it becomes easy to put it back in its original spot once used. This has changed my approach to organizing and has saved me a lot of time afterwards. This means that beyond the well-filled sessions, A new way of seeing things had taken hold, and this for the long term.

Based on my personal experience, I highly recommend calling on Yuri without hesitation! His patience, delicacy (while showing a certain firmness), discretion, and passion for this profession will only motivate you to make your living space a haven of well-being.
